Challenges

  • Distillary still operational: Work had to be planned to minimise disruption and keep access safe.

  • Weather: Rain caused the issue, but repairs also needed a suitable dry window for safe application.

  • No Hot Work permitted due to nature of the business.

Solutions

  • Site survey & Diagnostic report : Roof inspection and damage assessment.

  • Preparation: Cleaned and prepared surfaces to ensure proper adhesion.

  • Waterproofing repair: Applied a waterproofing system to seal roof penetrations and prevent further ingress.

  • Edge Corrosion system applied to seal the edges of the roof to prevent futher corrosion

  • Photographic Breakdown & Completion Report provided to Client Representative.

Challenges

  • Warehouses keep operational: Works had to be phased to keep routes open, maintain safety, and minimise disruption to day-to-day movements.

  • Trip hazard at the warehouse joint: The uneven interface between the two warehouse floors created a clear H&S risk for pedestrians and trolleys.

  • Working inside temperature-controlled environment ( 5 °C Chiller chamber )

  • Site survey & work assessment prior to work and location proposal.

  • Preparation: Cleaned and prepared the area to achieve proper adhesion and a durable finish.

  • Metal joint installation + sealing: Installed metal joints and applied a sealing system around them to lock the detail in place and reduce future movement-related issues.
